Workplace safety is a standard today. There are laws; even government entities that manage it, but do you consider it a personal goal? Many don’t. Are you aware that safety is something that affects the psyche as well as the body?
You are worthy of safety and today I have some tips regarding physical safety, environmental safety, and emotional safety.

Physical Safety: Awareness, intuition, and preparation are vital to physical safety. To be aware means being mindful of person and place. The best way to practice awareness is to limit distractions, and the number one distraction for most of us is a cell phone. When in public, put your phone away, take in your environment, and move with confidence.

Environmental Safety: Balance is the key to your personal environmental safety. No one was made for copious amounts of stress. Separate your work and home spaces, move your body often during the day, start and stop work on time, practice a nighttime routine that includes sleeping in your own bed, and make your home decluttered and delightful.

Emotional Safety: Emotional /psychological safety is something many people put on the back burner, and yet it is paramount to living a worthwhile life. Emotional safety includes the ability to express your thoughts and opinions without being ridiculed or gaslit, being safe to learn from mistakes, and having the ability to trust and be trusted. These things can be difficult. Focus first on knowing yourself well so that you can practice good mental health. Practicing mental health may look like seeing a counselor or life coach, engaging in yoga, keeping yourself physically healthy and knowing yourself well. Practice boundaries, practice self-control and emotional regulation, and know that you are worthy of good treatment no matter your past.
“You are worthy of safety and living a beautiful Life. You are worthy of balance and of being heard!”
